  • Thyroid related issues- They also lie among the top reasons to cause depression. As per the findings, it has been established that low thyroid levels in the body happen to be another reason to cause depression. The hormonal imbalance, therefore is responsible for a number of emotional outbursts that include your reckless behavior, thoughts of suicides or even death. Therefore it's recommended to increase your dietary intake or try to supplement it with iodine.


  • Imbalance of sex hormones- Sex hormones are one of the major contributors that lead to the problem of depression. Therefore, it is always recommended to get the levels of such hormones like estrogen, testosterone and progesterone, checked for both men and women.
  • Presence of toxic chemicals- In today's fast paced life, the presence of toxic chemicals can be found almost everywhere. As per a new study, it is estimated that each individual continues to get exposed to almost 1lac chemicals daily.
